Beyond Our Burdens is a Christ-centered community dedicated to the harmonious relationship between the Gospel and mental health. Our mission is twofold: to demonstrate and teach how the Cross of Christ brings both spiritual and mental healing, and to affirm that seeking mental health services is an act of faith that complements, rather than contradicts, our trust in Christ.

The Gospel
Beyond our Burdens seeks to share the life-transforming message of the Gospel of Jesus Christ, emphasizing the sovereign and sustaining grace of God.

Panel Discussion
Beyond our Burdens provides a supportive and Christ-centered environment for open and honest conversations about mental health within the Christian context through a thought-provoking panel discussion that includes both ministry leaders and mental health professionals to encourage participants to explore their own experiences and develop a deeper understanding of mental health issues.

Spoken Word Poetry
As a unique feature, Beyond our Burdens also includes a selection of thought-provoking and Christ-centered spoken word poetry, written and performed by Lateef "The Oracle." The performances will be spaced throughout the event and will enhance the experience by using artistic expression to communicate the message of the Gospel as it relates to mental health.
